PLEASE READ IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR ENROLLING YOUR CHILD!

Online enrollment is now available. If you have questions about enrollment or wish to enroll in a class that requires evaluation and/or teacher placement, please email (preferred) your class choices to annettem@metrogymnastics.com, or you may call our office at (503) 620-8939.

To register your child for gymnastics classes; girls and boys team gymnastics programs; dance; special events, a completed online registration form is required. All Customers MUST set up their Customer Portal here. CLICK THE APPROPRIATE BUTTON BELOW.

Current Schedules

At Metro Dance Academy we work hard to offer our dance classes and gymnastics programs at times that will work for your family’s lifestyle. You’ll find the latest schedules by opening the links below.

The dance class schedule runs parallel to the school year (September through June) with a Winter show in December, and an end of year Spring Dance Showcase in June. Our intention is to have all dancers enrolled in the fall so the group can learn together at the same pace and become close with fellow dancers.

Policies

Policy and Payment Information

  • There is an annual, non-refundable, Family Membership Fee of $30, which is payable upon enrollment at Metro Gymnastics Center/Metro Dance Academy. Other Membership and/or Registration Fees that apply to METRO COMPETITIVE TEAMS can be found in the specific program’s handbook.

  • Enrollment for classes is ongoing throughout the school year session (Sept-Mid June). See Cancellation Policy below to drop a class.

  • Payment is due on the 1st day of each month. If payment is not received BY the 6th of each month, the credit card on file will automatically be charged.

  • All communication is sent via email; please keep a current address on file in the office!

  • Payment with cash, check, or a different credit card can be made before the 5th of the month.

  • Children are AUTOMATICALLY RE-ENROLLED every 4 weeks (tuition covers every 4 weeks of classes).

  • NO REFUNDS or CREDITS are given with the exception of extended illness or injury. Credit Adjustments remain on accounts indefinitely. NO CASH, CHECK, or CREDIT CARD refunds will be given.

TUITION DUE 6th of each month

  • Enrollment for classes is ongoing throughout the school year session (Sept-Mid June).

  • Payment is due on the 1st day of each month. If payment is not received BY the 6th of each month, the credit card on file will automatically be charged.

  • Payment with cash, check, or a different credit card can be made before the 6th of the month.

  • A month is calculated at 4 classes per month; some months your child may receive an extra class. Because of this method, holidays are not prorated.

  • NO REFUNDS or CREDITS are given with the exception of extended illness or injury. Credit Adjustments remain on accounts indefinitely. NO CASH, CHECK, or CREDIT CARD refunds will be given.

Withdrawal/Cancellation Policy & Form

  • To WITHDRAW FROM CLASS, a written WITHDRAWAL NOTICE must be submitted no later than the LAST class of the current month.

  • Cancellation ON OR AFTER the 1st day of the new month will result in a $25.00 CANCELLATION FEE that will be charged to the credit card on file.

  • If a class is DROPPED AFTER the new month is in progress, you remain responsible for the full month of classes. NO CASH, CHECK or CREDIT CARD refunds will be given.

  • A student may join at any time throughout the school year; all classes with Showcase routines may join from September through January if there is space available. Please see Class Description page for Showcase involvement.

  • The studio will be closed for major holidays and school vacations – see our monthly calendar.

Refunds & Credits

  • Registration Fees are non-refundable.

  • Credit will not be given for missed classes due to illness, snow days, or personal commitments. NO REFUNDS or CREDITS are given with the exception of extended illness or injury. Credit Adjustments remain on accounts indefinitely.

  • Children enrolled for DANCE CLASSES are allowed to make up ONLY 1 class per month, regardless of the number of classes missed.

  • Metro Dance Academy reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient registration and a full refund will be given.

  • When a student sustains an injury that does not permit them to participate over an extended period of time a credit or refund will be issued.

  • If a very young student is not ready to participate in a class after several visits, a refund of tuition will be given and or cancellation/drop fees will not apply.

Make Ups

  • Children enrolled for DANCE, MINI MOVERS, AND RECREATIONAL CLASSES are allowed to make up ONLY 1 class per 4-week payment period, regardless of the number of classes missed.

  • THERE ARE NO MAKEUP CLASSES FOR ROOTS or TEAMS.

  • NO REFUNDS or CREDITS are given with the exception of extended illness or injury. Credit Adjustments remain on accounts indefinitely.

Weather Policy

  • We DO NOT follow Tigard/Tualatin School District Inclement Weather Policy.

  • Notifications of delays and closures will be emailed and posted on social media outlets.

Photo/Video Release

Metro Dance Academy has an opt out release form if you would like for your dancers photo or video to not be used.Costume Policy

Costume Policy

  • Costume Fee: (due in February)

Dancers’ measurements will be taken during class time in February. Costume Fees are also collected in February. Any family choosing to not be a part of our Showcase needs to email the studio no later than the provided opt-out date TBD each year. Telling a teacher does not constitute as notification. Once a costume order has been placed there are no cancellations or refunds, but a dancer who drops will be able to keep their costume.

*Costume fee’s do not include shoes or tights.

Performance Policy

  • Showcase Fee: (due in April)

All dancers enrolled in classes at Metro Dance Academy are a part of our Showcases and we look forward to sharing this experience with you. If you are unable to perform for any reason, please email the studio no later than the provided opt-out date TBD each year. No refunds will be given on performance deposits or costume fees if a dancer withdraws from a performance after the opt-out deadline. Withdrawals from performances due to special circumstances may be considered.

Conferences

We recommend arranging a conference if your dancer’s instructor teaches back-to-back classes and is not available to speak to you in private. To schedule a conference with your child’s instructor(s), email danceatmetro@gmail.com. Give your name, your child’s name, a daytime and evening phone number and the name of the instructor you wish to connect with. Title the subject of the email INSTRUCTOR CONFERENCE.

Parental Responsibility

It is the responsibility of the parent(s)/guardian to be aware of all studio activities, such as but not limited to: observation days, Holidays, recitals, extra classes, practices, dates the studio is open/closed. Metro Dance Academy will post notices and information on our website, social media platforms & inside our facilities, as well as send emails. It is the parent(s)/guardian’s responsibility to check with the studio office and or our website or social media platforms, and their provided email address to ensure they are adequately informed. It is also the parent(s)/guardian’s responsibility to inform Metro Dance Academy, of any address / email / phone # changes or updates. If you are not receiving email communications please contact the studio office immediately.
