2024 Spring Dance Showcase

Time: Morning Show, 11:30am. Matinee Show, 3:00pm

Join Metro Dance Academy for our annual Spring Dance Showcase on Saturday, June 8th at the Lake Oswego High School Auditorium. We are in the process of finalizing the day of show schedules and dress rehearsals. Stay tuned for more details coming soon!

Our annual spring showcase is our signature event of the year and is an opportunity for all of our dancers to perform on stage and show off what they've learned throughout the season. You won't want to miss it!

SHOWCASE CLASS PICTURE DAY

All dancers are invited to participate in our studio-wide Showcase Class Picture Day on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Our recital photos will be taken by Hults Photography. The photoshoot will be held at Metro Dance Academy in Studio 1. Dancers will wear their Spring Showcase costumes for each routine they are in. Even if your dancer will not be participating in the show, we'd love to have them have their photo taken! Your dancer’s exact class picture time will be announced in March.

Spring Showcase Tickets:

Tickets will be available to purchase online via TutuTix and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Ticket sales will open on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 at 12:00pm. The link to purchase tickets will be found here.

  • Adult ticket: $15

  • Kids ages 4-12: $10

  • Kids 3 and under (sitting on laps): FREE

As Metro Dance Academy continues to grow, this year’s Spring Showcase will our largest event to date. We are pleased to hold this year’s performance in a larger venue to comfortably accommodate all of the families and friends of our dancers.

  • Parking will be available in both the front and rear lots and overflow parking will be available at Lake Oswego Junior High School located across the street

  • You may enter through the front or rear entrance doors to enter the main lobby. Look for the teal balloons and and follow the signs to the auditorium 

Showcase & Costume Fees:

  • Participation on the show is optional. If your dancer will not be participating or you are unable to attend, please opt-out by April 19th to avoid being charged the showcase fee.

  • Showcase Fee: $50 per dancer - one flat fee for all routines, max $100 per family. The showcase fee will be collected on April 23rd and will be charged to your card on file.

  • Costume fee of $65 was collected on February 26th.

Day of Show:

  • All dancers must be checked in and out by a parent/guardian and will be escorted to and from our get-ready room by a Metro Dance Academy staff member or volunteer.

  • For safety, dancers will remain in the get-ready room, called the Black Box theater for the duration of the show. Staff members and volunteers will be in the room to assist with costume changes and we will also provide entertainment for dancers before and after their performance time.

  • If you plan to leave the show after your dancer’s performance, dancers may be checked out at that time by a parent/guardian.

Photos & Videos:

  • There will be a designated photo/video area located in the center aisle, between the front and back sections, for you to get a good view of the stage and take photos and videos during your child's routine.  

After The Show:

  • Our cookie & treat bar will be open immediately following the show in the auditorium lobby/hallway. Please help yourself to a yummy treat!

  • Be sure to snap some photos with your dancer at our photo-op stations
